You have finished the research and you have decided that you are going to be an internet affiliate marketer. Observe that I didn’t say you are going to try online affiliate marketing. Every time someone tells me they are going to give it a try. I know that they are not committed, they haven’t really done any research and they don’t have the appropriate mindset.

Don’t misinterpret me I am not trying to discourage you; I just want you to succeed.
I believe affiliate marketing is the best way to make money online, but this article is not about mindset or how much I like affiliate marketing.
This article is about you and. What do you expect to achieve as an affiliate marketer? I understand that sounds like a silly question you want to earn some money. Well I understand that and so does everyone, but take it a little further. Ask yourself what are you going to use the money for? How much money do you need to make, and by when.
Write it down commit yourself, if it’s for paying off debt that’s terrific, so write it down know exactly how much a week, or how much a month, your sub-conscious needs to know.
If your goal is to get a fancy sports car. Go to the dealership and sit in that car. Touch the steering wheel; take it for a test drive if you want. Just see yourself in that vehicle. I know this sounds crazy but have some fun and just try it. “The body will achieve what the mind conceives”
Here are a few things to keep in mind to help you develop into a successful online affiliate marketer.
Successful affiliate marketers have learned not to place all their eggs in one basket. But they also know that you can’t go in too many different markets at the same time. You will be better off if you concentrate your efforts on one niche market at a time.
Get to know your target audience and stay with that group. It will always be easier to sell to a group of people that you understand. You know their wants and problems and you can keep promoting them products to help solve their problems.
Know Your customer:
Profitable affiliate marketers know that their customers are the life line of their business. The top online affiliate marketers write good product reviews about products that they really own or use. Always keep in mind that even though you are not supplying the product yourself, merely promoting it, your customer might think they are dealing directly with you and if they have a problem they may look to you for assistance. If you own or are at least familiar with the product you will be in a much better position to help your customer when they look to you for help.
Always Be HelpFul:
Take a little time to reply to emails or answer concerns about products and keep in mind that although the product is not your responsibility, taking care of the people who are helping you earn money is.
This is one mistake a lot of affiliates make and unfortunately it won’t take you very far in this business. As an online affiliate marketer you need to take pride in the products and services you promote and be familiar with them. It takes a lot of work to acquire a customer’s trust, don’t throw it away. Be truthful and treat your customers fairly you will be happy you did.
Treat your business like a real business.
This is a really important point. Successful affiliate marketers stand out for the reason that from day one they treat their business like a real business. They don’t feel they own any less of a business because the product doesn’t belong to them.
